Here are a few of my shadow trapunto quilts.
I am in love ( and crazy) with this technique.
I made even bowls, purses and postcards using it.
I hope you like them.

Wow I absolutely love these. Is this hard to do? What is the process?

kwhite 05-07-2009 10:04 AM

Amazing. Would you like to tell us how this process is done?

Jim's Gem 05-07-2009 10:06 AM

They are absolutely beautiful. You go back and hand dye the fabrics after you do the quilting stitches?

pocoellie 05-07-2009 10:14 AM

Absolutely stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geta 05-07-2009 10:16 AM

Here it is the essence of making my shadow trapunto quilt.

http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.co...nou-quilt.html

The first layer of the quilt is organza. The white motifs under organza are made from batting. And under these there are 3 layers (cotton fabric, batting and a backing)- like in an ordinary quilt.

That's soooooo amazing!
I just quickly looked through your blog, I'll have to check it out some more when I get home from work tonight. I understand the process, thanks! Actually, I reallllly wantto try it now, I'm going to try a small wall hanging or pillow cover or something to start out with. I will pick up some fabric tonight at work and try it. Thank you soooo much for explaining it in detail on your blog :)

Baren*eh*ked_canadian 05-07-2009 11:33 AM
