Very nice. The small purple sash between the blocks sure set it off. I have a bag of scraps, just waiting until I get to them for a string quilt. Sara

I love the quilt. How do you do a string quilt???
Great job!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I do mine on a 9 inch piece of muslin, starting in the center diagonally, sew strips on. I use 1, 2, 2 1/2 inch strips or smaller on the ends. I got this pattern off another site, is it ok to say where it is?? Nancy

I really do like the string quilt with the sashing. I think that really adds an attractive element. I get the fact that the seams don't have to match when you put the blocks together, but it really bothers me when they don't. Maybe too many years of teaching Math? Anyway, I love your quilt.

Those are beautiful sewmuch. I love how you changed the way you put the blocks together to get a different pattern on each one. I did a large string quilt and drew out the pattern I wanted on graph paper first. I was amazed at the limitless patterns you can get with this simple technique. I really likes yours!! :)
