Love your idea. I made canvas floor cloths years & years ago and they did wear like iron. I like this idea and have many ideas for painting on the cloth first then quilt. Project list is growing!!

Definitely an inspiration! Did you use a special needle or different thread when you did the quilting?

Very cool! Love the look! Think I'll try this! Thanks for the great idea!

Wonderful idea, needlefruit! Been trying to figure out how to update my plaid couch. Think your rug would look good on the back of my couch before I put the quilt over the back. You rule!

I bet that'll be here long after we're all gone. That canvas wears like iron. Great idea. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing.

It looks like a good way to practice quilting as well as being a lovely rug!

Great idea-and a good job making your canvas rug. Maybe a good way to learn how to FMQ!

Please give us a little more info on how you did this.

Is it quilted on a LA or HSM? ( long arm or home sewing machine?)
Thread and needle size?

Was the canvas hard to quilt being a heavier material?

Did you wash the canvas first?

I really like your idea and think winter curtains would be really cool and I could practice different stitches on them.

Thank for sharing this.
peace

Looks very good. What a great idea. And if you didn't want the white (that would be difficult for my home to) you can always dye it or paint it, then quilt it. Thanks so much for sharing.
