I did 3 pin wheels and this one turned out the best..but still not there..and I am stumped as to why. I ironed both pieces, placed one on top of the other (right sides facing in) and cut them to exact 5 in squares, pressed again..(just setting iron on top not actually moving it around on it) I then sewed 1/4 in seam all the way around it. I then cut it from corner to corner each time. Pressed each piece again (with seams going to the darker color) Sewed the top two together with 1/4 in seam, then the bottom two, then the two sections together. I then pressed again. Can anyone tell me what I may have done wrong? The pin wheel starts the 10th..I hate to start out behind because I can not get it to work right. ha ha ha Be a day late dollar short again lol oops forgot the picture...post that next.. a duh moment lol

Ditto here ... I'm seeing nice points all happily having a meeting in the center. Beautiful color selection too.

I starch mine so the bias does not stretch. This looks good to me!

Hmm, not 100% sure, but when you cut corner to corner, open and press, how do the corners look? On your practice square, the corner in the extreme upper right looks like it would be perfect (stitching coming out a bit?), the one on the upper left looks a bit off, like the orange fabric comes down a bit rather than hitting the corner exactly. If these corners are a bit off, then when you join them the center is going to be off.
