Cornerstones, whether they are of a different fabric from your sashing or the same, amke it a lot easier to get the rows lined up. beautiful quilt

I think the solid black would be very effective, but I, personally, would do better with cornerstones (especially on such a large quilt). Cornerstones could all be of the same fabric of choice (perhaps a solid white or off-white).

Wow! That's going to beautiful whichever way you do it.

I think you have a lot going on and the plain black strips would just set it off. But if you really want to do the cornerstone to help line it up, I would only use like 3 main colors. It's usually best for the eye to use an odd amount.

Beautiful start! I personally would use cornerstones but would make them like the center of your squares and have black as the last edge so it would be like a mini one of your blocks. I'm sure you have some leftover bits. Use them UP!!!!

WOW! It's beautiful!!! Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Thanks for sharing

Really neat quilt. Great use of striped fabrics. I'm thinking along the lines of the others who said cornerstones might be the better choice here. Either way - it's beautiful.

I totally agree with this. The quilt is so geometric that you need to keep all the blocks in good alignment. If you can do it with a single strip, go ahead. I can't, so I would use cornerstones.
It's going to be stunning. This was just posted yesterday on this very topic: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...e-t211687.html |
I love your quilt! I agree with all the ladies regarding keeping things aligned. Cornerstones will help but I wonder if it would distract from the geometric beauty of the top if it were in a different colour? Perhaps cornerstones in the same black fabric would suit better? I will be interested to see your finished quilt! It is going to look gorgeous regardless of how you finish it. You need to go with the look you want to achieve. Personally I think plain black, black corner stones or without, would look good. Thank you for sharing and allowing us the opportunity to offer you our thoughts and suggestions. :)

Depends. If you are confident in keeping it aligned, a measrued long strip is good. If you worry abouf aligning, cornerstones are a useful tool.

I vote for cornerstones with some of your bright fabric!
