The black makes the squares POP. Beautiful work so far.

Cornerstones would be my choice. Great quilt!

I would really recommend that you use corner stones with your sashing.i think I'd just do them black like your sashing. Without the cornerstones it makes lining up the blocks a little tricky.it can be done but it's much easier just using the corner stones. I made a quilt this summer and didn't use cornerstones. It wasn't easy getting everything aligned. Tried to save time and sort of made a mess of lining up the blocks. What a beautiful and colorful quilt you have created.

I would suggest laying out some black strips as you would the sashing and audition some squares as cornerstones to see if you like or prefer one effect over the other. You could do a couple of rows and all the same cornerstone, then try those rows with 3 colors, then try an assortment. My first thought was that it is so vibrant and additional small square might compete with the main squares. But as suggested you could also do cornerstones out of the same black as the sashing and have the help of cs and the look of the solid color. I had seen a picture in a magazine of a quilt with squares from stripes and put it on my "want to do it someday" list. Please post a picture when you finish. I'm sure it will be great whichever you choose.

I ended up using black cornerstones to make sure the alignment went well. Decided to let the pro quilt this one. I REALLY wanted Charisma to quilt this! We discussed and agreed on pattern sort of informally..... then I chickened out of mailing it cross country. (this is the first time I've kept a quilt and really don't want to trust it "en route") Sure hope the locals are 1/2 as good as Charisma..... I LOVE her work

You can also use one long strip, but mark where each block will line up. Draw a line all the way across the strip. Then watch for the other block as you pin and sew.

Glad you went with the black cornerstones. Think that achieved what I felt was the look you were aiming for.
