Hi!
My first quilt post here:) I completed this in April. I have an image in mind when I did this. I wonder if it is protrayed across. What do you see in this quilt? Comments are welcome! |
My first thought was sprouts popping up from the earth. It's a beautifuly quilt, so vibrant and full of life.
Books on a shelves.
Sorry not a thing. Never was good at abstract art. Lovely colors though.
Will watch for other replies as you have my interest. |
Layers of earth and lovely green plants coming up. Gorgeous nature colours of trees and grasses.
I see crosses and also trees. I also see small lamps. Well, I looked again and I see a Tiffany Lampshade. beautiful!
A jungle! Its beautiful. Welcome to the board!
looks like a bookshelve
I thought reeds swaying in the breeze!! Tell us what it was you saw! Welcome to the board!
Looking at a field of sugar cane? It's a great quilt.
First of all, welcome aboard a very fun board! As for your quilt, I have next to no imagination... it looks like "nature" to me. But I LOVE IT! It could also look like stained glass. But, whatever it's "supposed" to be, it's fabulous!

I see Bamboo :)
Lovely quilt! Even if my vision is different - but that is what makes art so wonderful. |
Plants, sprouts, nature, yes! Reeds, sugarcane fields, yes!
Bamboo. Bingo! I have in mind a bamboo forest. All different shades of green. The horizontal represents the glimpse of sky and earth through tha gaps of the bamboo. The bottom is a mulch of pebbles and fallen leaves. Thanks so much everyone for your encouraging words!!! After working for so long in isolation, it feels so good to be among like-minded people :) |
Hm, first thing that comes to my mind is the Everglades, or a rain forest. Maybe even books (horticulture, of course :-)
best, d |
I see the forest from the trees... I really like what you did.
Welcome! Glad to have you? Hmmm what do I see, something that would look great in my home? LOL I see small trees (I call them treelings). Or a bookshelf with books bound in greens and browns. I love it no matter what it is.
Welcome from Ohio! Your quilt is beautiful! Very organic!
It reminds me of bamboo. Whatever you had in mind, it is a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing.
Hmmm. I see quilts on clotheslines made with pulleys, in a jungle of bamboo.
I think of bolts of fabric on a shelf! It's gorgeous! I love it! Now my curiousity is up though, what was the image in your mind?
I see shelves filled with wonderful books!

Lovely colour work. Great image interpretation.

I do not know what you wished to express but the richness of your colors and beauty of your fabric combine to make a wonderful artistic design that seems very organic and expresses - to me, a lush and verdent scenerio.
