Love the quilt and the borders.

ann clare 05-19-2010 10:47 AM

Blends well. Beautiful quilt.

Kitsie 05-19-2010 10:50 AM

I like the first one with just the hint of blue. Such fresh colors! Beautiful job!

bailey 05-19-2010 10:50 AM

Love the quilt and the borders!

sueisallaboutquilts 05-19-2010 10:51 AM

Such a pretty quilt- I think the pink would make the quilt pop more than the green, in other words- pink border, then green for the outer one.
Great job!!!!! :D

dsb38327 05-19-2010 10:52 AM

Love the quilt. My eyes are soaking in the pink border and skipping over the green. I am trying to get a headache so that may be why. I like both the pink and the green. I like the quilt. Can't wait to see how you border it. You will do good.

Lucky Patsy's 05-19-2010 10:52 AM

Excellent choices!

diannemc 05-19-2010 11:07 AM

I was thinking of doing a 2 inch green and a 4 inch in pink?? Or should I just use Pink???

TanyaMas 05-19-2010 11:12 AM

i think the green will frame it beautifully inside the pink border :D

sewingladydi 05-19-2010 11:14 AM

I agree with TanyaMas. That green pink combo is really pretty with that quilt.

ScrapQuilter 05-19-2010 11:19 AM

looks good to me

Linda B 05-19-2010 11:22 AM

I really like it -- with the narrow green border and the wider pink. It will be beautiful.

sewcrafty 05-19-2010 11:38 AM

Coordinates very well!!

rootyr 05-19-2010 11:51 AM

Dancing Needle 05-19-2010 11:53 AM

I think the green and pink are an excellent choice. Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

MamaBear61 05-19-2010 12:43 PM

I think you have made a good choice. Your quilt is beautiful.

sdparent 05-19-2010 12:46 PM

I love the quilt, I would do the pink as the inner border to make the pinwheels pop and then the green as the outer border. Good luck and post when you finish it so we can all ooo and awwww.

belmer 05-19-2010 12:48 PM

Either color or even both colors look great together. The only thing I would do (in my opinion), is use the pink for the smaller border and the light green for the outer border. This might make the quilt itself pop out more. Beautiful work on your quilt.

marsye 05-19-2010 12:49 PM

Looks like a great combo!

Great job!!!!! :D

I agree, you got to have pink for a girl and green goes so well with it

jljack 05-19-2010 02:14 PM

I think it's perfect in the first picture!!

thismomquilts 05-19-2010 02:19 PM

Since it's for a girl - the pink will 'finish' the quilt. Nice job.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 05-19-2010 02:54 PM

I'm a pink and green sort of girl so I like it! :D

diannemc 05-19-2010 02:57 PM

Thanks everyone for the help..!!

paintedquilt 05-19-2010 03:18 PM

Green and pink borders - Yes :-P

QuiltingGrannie 05-19-2010 03:31 PM

I'm going with those that say first the pink and the use the green as the out border. What are you going to use as a binding?
My Granddaughter would like it! I made her a pink and green (and other pastel color) pinwheels quilt for her also! Those are her favorite colors.

You did a great job!

clem55 05-19-2010 04:48 PM

your quilt is very pretty, and I love the pink and green borders

CAROLJ 05-19-2010 04:57 PM

I like the borders you choose. Very pretty.

BKrenning 05-19-2010 05:08 PM

I like the pink & green. I would also put a narrow plain white border first or at least in between the pink & green.

bronald 05-19-2010 05:10 PM

I love pinwheels

franie 05-19-2010 05:11 PM

It is a perfect choice--I like it. Nice quilt too.

MissM 05-19-2010 06:20 PM

I like your idea of the 2" green and 4" pink. Makes me think of cotton candy. Great for a little girl!

Pam 05-19-2010 06:31 PM

I vote for the green border and the pink binding. Yummy

b.zang 05-19-2010 06:43 PM

Hmm, I think the bright pink takes my eye away from those beautiful pinwheels and would put it closer in, otherwise it might overwhelm the quilt.

craftybear 05-19-2010 09:24 PM

love the quilt
