What beautiful pictures. I like the clouds in the background. I bet all of you are tired tonight!

Mainly hot! They are still out there but I told them I got things to do! So I came home!

Wow! Can I help? Is it wheat/straw? Or oats/straw? How many acres do you have? What other crops do you raise? Do you have animals?

I must be 100% country girl because I'd love to spend the day there. :D

This is actually on the family farm as in Grandma still owns it but FIL runs it and DH and brothers do most of the work. I have no idea how many acres there are, several sections and half sections, and qtr sections, part of it is pasture, part of it is planted to wheat so I just dont know, I am just the DIL you know! But yes we have some cattle and goats and a donkey! And come on over there is still several days left to go barring any major break downs.

I've helped my brother and father get hay in before--glad I wasn't in the mow. My hay guy should be calling next week. I'll get two loads from him. Oh how I love the smell of the barn when the hay is stacked upstairs.

Farming is a tough business, you have to get big or get out. Good for your family for staying in it. We need farmers. :D

Mgshaw,

I am so jealous. I would love to live there. I hail from IN originally - straight out of farm country... but now live in a growing, big city... I do not like it here... one day we will move to a quieter place... sigh... blessings on all our farmers - especially those hit by the flooding.
