Default "R" Cabin Quilt

I am new to quilting I have been reading and learning sooo much from this board and wanted to share my first bedspread sized quilt. We live in a 36' motorhome and this was done entirely from my tiny little dining area and on my Viking Topaz sewing machine.

Living out in nature I wanted this quilt to 'speak' to me, so, since I love pinecones I just had to embroider some. This was also my first experience doing free motion quilting. Having read all the input about it I was a bit intimidated but once I got going found it wasn't as scary as anticipated ! Mind you, none of this is expert quality but with practice .... who knows !

I really wanted to express my 'thanks' to all of you for all the experiences you share. It is very helpful for us newbies.

I love it - it looks so crisp and clean and the embroidered pinecones are a perfect addition. And to think you did this all in the dining area of an RV - great job!!

I love it and am impressed - the quilt colors, pattern and pine cones remind me of some perfect places I have seen when camping. You should be pretty proud having made something so beautiful in such a small space.
