A rescue...sort of (pardon my photography)

I bought this quilt top, sight unseen, from a friend of a friend's family member (3 times removed). I know little about it other than it was part of a lot she bought at a garage sale. I paid 15.00 for it and it was presented to me wadded up in the bottom of a garbage bag.
It is rough, but hopefully with a few repairs it can go on to be what someone once dreamed it would be. A quilt.
Does anyone have any ideas about it's approximate age from looking at the fabric used? Does this pattern have a name?
Thanks for looking.

Very nice. I don't know the name of the pattern, but those fabrics definately are 30's to 40's, mostly dress prints, I believe. You got a good deal!! :-) I love old quilt tops, and I have a few stashed around my house!! :-)

Very nice. I have one I salvaged from a Great-Grandmother. I need to repair a couple of squares but it will be nice when I get it done. It is all hand pieced. I also found four dresses from either 30's or 40's that after washing i can use for quilts. Two had the store tag still on them.
