OK so over the holidays we moved my 19 year old downstairs and created a mini apartment for her - which included my sewing room! I was relegated to a 10 x 10 small bedroom upstairs. So I challenged myself to not only make this room functional but do it for no cost at all. I repurposed/reused everything I could think of - left over paint from another project covered the walls, 2 armoires from our bedroom became storage units, my grandfather's old dresser became the cutting board and more storage, an old bulletin board turned into a design board - I even grabbed a rug from our back door entrance and put on the floor! The crowning jewel in this little space is the ironing board my dad built me - 18" x 60" which I covered with a large fabric remmnent and pieces of batting. It is incredibly functional and a lot of fun to work in - see what you think!

I think it is awesome! I also believe it would be better than my 3 rooms because I have to travel back and forth no matter how I plan. I actually hope one day to get a space like this. And spending No More Money for it would be the icing on the cake and is one of my favorite things!!!! Congrats!

Great job on your sewing heaven. Any space to sew in is a blessing. All my sewing area is the hall closet with a fold out table to put my machine on right now. Did have a 12x10 room but son moved back home, so I had to vacate. A quilter will always find a place to sew no matter how small or big a area they have to sew in.

That's ALOT of stuff for a 10x10 room, but arranged very efficiently. I also have a small room but I like being able to roll in my chair to reach most of it. Have fun in your new room!

Very nice, I have a very small room too. Planning on moving the futon out and a banquet table in. Enjoy your new space

Nice room. Who would have thought a 10 x 10 would have so much space. You did a great job.
