Stunning Quilts
#314
So glad this thread has been resurrected. I have really enjoyed looking at all the gorgeous quilts, most of which I have never seen before. I thought I'd add a couple of my most elaborate quilts, made in the last year or two.
This one has hand embroidered blocks and is hand quilted. Worked on it for most of a year.

Needleturn applique and hand quilting. Worked on it for about 6 months.

A BOW sampler from Piecing the Past... 6 months.

Last winter's Bonnie Hunter Mystery, On Ringo Lake, 6 months.

My most stunning and favorite quilt has to be my Sylvia's Bridal Sampler, called Sylvia & Louise. I made it in the year after my mother, Louise, passed away. It was definitely my therapy and got me through that tough time. It's held together with thread and tears and there is love in every stitch. Miss you, Mom!

Wow super quilts everyone. I made this as a bed runner for my daughter, I had admired the pattern for a long time. Its hard picking out colours to get right effect and totally time consuming to make

Wow ladies, I just stumbled upon this thread. It is jam packed with so many stunning quilts. Your talent and perseverance certainly shines through. Most definitely inspiration for all of us.
I hope more will add to this thread and inspire us anew.
My personal favorite is on page one (Post 38). I love love love the basket quilt on page 1. The neutral and color just calls to something in my heart. And the hand quilting is exquisite. It is perfectly balanced to make the baskets really pop.
But, really all of the quilts in this thread are super special and your stories are inspiring.
Thank you!
