D[QUOTE=bailey;5772079]Not sure about stunning but I love this quilt because it is the first one I ever made that my son actually liked. He even asked for this one. Yoohoo!!!! It is a OBW that I added applique to.

I started and finished 2 quilts this year that were both challenging and ones I'm most proud of. I waited to start these until I had a bit more applique experience and just went for it..
The first is my Sylvia Bridal Sampler. It took me 4 mos to do. I designed the applique border. I did flange binding and added lace. I had a lot of encouragement from other board members to keep going.
The second quilt I started immediately following the first one. It is Green Tea & Sweet Beans by Jen
Kingwell. Love her crazy busy patterns. This took me about 6 weeks from start to finish.

Teen, I love both of these quilts very much. Very beautiful.
I thought long and hard about what I would like to contribute. For me, I love simple quilts. So, I decided to share my favorite quilt made with my favorite block of all time. It is a blend of blocks I made and blocks from a swap. I'm just amazed that all the different sizes came together so easily. (Like it was meant to be.)
I hope my added bit of inspiration will inspire your to share your favorite all time quilt. This quilt was on the top of my bucket list. I think the ones you feel the most attached to are the most special and stunning.

Thanks for the kind comments.
Judith the Hole in the barn door is also a fav of mine and your rendition is lovely indeed. Teen your SBS and JK quilt are delightful.
I think we are members of a mutual admiration society for the quilts on this thread. They all bring to the table different skill sets and design layouts.
