I did find this site for a pattern if your interested, not the same as her lovely one, but at least one using ties.

I was able to get a copy from my library. You might check with yours.

I just got off the phone with my mom - my Dad has a bunch of old silk ties! Yay! I want to make this quilt for him it is soooo beautiful. I will look for the magazine at the library unless someone has a pattern? Did you hand applique the ties on or machine piece? I am very excited about this, my Dad is 85 years old, what a nice gift for Christmas! :D

I machine pieced the blocks. The book is "Quick Quick from the Heart". It is by Fonz and Porter. Have fun. That would be a great Christmas gift for your Dad.

Showed this quilt to my DD and she said it was the best use of ties she had ever seen! She is not often impressed, so good job! I still can't believe how beautiful this is. I am definitly going to ask the men of our church to donate their ties. Maybe we could raffle it off next year to pay for VBS. So pretty! :D :D :D
