I love your Friendship Braid Border. I am doing the same thing with my mom's house dresses that are mostly small floral prints!!! The tie fans are great !!!!!! :-D

Thanks for all of your nice comments.I used Fons and Porters fan pattern.The quilt is 90 X 75. The blocks are 11 x 11. I would love to see your quilt with your Mom's house dresses. Please post a picture.

That is fantastic. Have a question tho - why did that lady'a husband need 171 ties?

The lady's husband didn't need that many ties but she said he loved to shop. She said he really had about 300 ties when he died but she gave a lot of them away. He was a retired Minister and after I finished the quilt she found another box full of his ties.
