Thank you for your kind remarks. It was really fun making. I am now working on a flying geese top. Have the top done and finished with the basting last night. I can hardly wait til tonight so I can start hand quilting. That is so relaxing to me.

I made my first necktie quilt a few years ago. It was made with ties donated by the deacons of our church, and given to our pastor to honor his 20 year anniversary as pastor of our church. I can hardly wait to make another. It turned out beautiful. I have several boxes of ties I have acquired just waiting for the next tie quilt.Loved seeing yours. Really nice use & such a special memory for your friend. I like each of mine to have special significance as well, and be cherished for generations to come.

I found the Fons and Porter "Quilts from the Heart" book at Thirftbooks.com. It cost me $1.99 and $3.99 for shipping. I received it on Saturday. I thought is was going to be a paperback and I got a hardback in almost perfect conditon. Very please with it. Can't wait to give the fan quilt a try. (using ties of course)
