I found this large, 2 yard square, piece of fabric at the thrift store. It's so unusual and quite large. The photos show it folded in half. The other half is exactly the same as the half that shows, so it's a full circle in that pattern with the designs in the corners that fills out the square. It is all cotton I think, from the feel of it.
Does anyone have any idea what this piece of fabric might represent or be used for? I can't even decide if I like it or not. LOL. Sometimes I like it and other times I think it's ugly. I am clueless what to do with it, but for $1.00, I had to get it. Sorry the one photo is a touch blurry.

Add more borders and applique on them to continue the theme, I think it would be very pretty :D:D:D

OR you could cut out the different elements and applique them onto other fabric :D:D:D

This reminds me of what you would buy and hang on your wall in the late 60's and 70's 8-)

    i think it's wonderful!!

i would add a border all around, either black and one of the other colors, or just black if not. i, myself, vote for all black. i would make the border 10". it sounds like a lot, but that panel has a lot going on, there. the total would then be 90". a great size for a queen bed. i would quilt around the motif. wow!

the alternative is to send it t me and i will send you more than $1.00. should i pm my address?

Yes, exactly. It would have been for the center panel of a quilt. Just add borders and ta-dah, you'll have a quilt top.

I really love the unusual look of this, I would not cut it up. I would use it for the center and then quilt around the design. or even use it on the back of a same colored quilt. I can't wait to see what you do with this. Great find!I will be glad to buy it for a profit if you decide you don't like it :-D
