I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my old/new scrappy. Thank you for your comments.
Re-making this quilt gave me a sense of satisfaction. I enjoyed thinking about it. I think that's what I most enjoy about quilting--all the thinking about it--the decisions that have to be made, from choosing a pattern, choosing fabrics, laying them out, choosing colors for borders and binding, etc. And it is sometimes frustrating if I can't decide
Allystitches, it sounds like your little quilt would be a good candidate for a re-do. I probably wouldn't have taken my thrift store quilt apart if it had been a family heirloom or if I knew the person who had made it. But since it was neither in good condition nor an heirloom, I'm glad I took the time to give it a new life.

Did a great job, no one would know how shabby it had become.. You preserve history for some time to come.. The owner might be reading this and crying at this moment to see someone cared enough about her quilt to keep it alive.
