Default WIP autumn beauty

I was in the middle of several other projects when I fell and hurt my wrist AGAIN. Since I can't do the handwork on my girls with flowers blocks (7 completed, 7 appliqued only, 6 to go) nor can I finish the quilting on the 3 partly quilted lap quilts for DH to give to the rehab hospital, I decided to tackle something from my WAD list. All of the backgrounds will be med-dark sutumn fabrics with brighter foregrounds. Fortunately, I seem to have everything I need in my stash.

The colors and fabrics, AND the pattern are gorgeous! Is this paper pieced?

So sorry to hear you hurt your wrist again. Hope its recovery is a speedy one. Very colorful and cheerful blolcks. You managed to find a way to do something constructive and creative while your wrist is healing, that is so rewarding.

Sorry you hurt your wrist again. It's just instinctive to throw your hands out when you fall. I find at my age, I don't bounce as well as I used to.

I love your spirit...there's always something you can do even when hurt or in pain. In fact I have chronic pain due to arthritis and staying busy with my creations helps me forget about the pain for the time that I am completely engrossed in what I am doing. I love the colors and can hardly wait to see the finished product...even if it takes longer.
