In 1999, when Grams started teaching me to sew, she explained to me that, "A quilt can have either white or off white on the back."
I, of course, wasn't about to follow that rule and had started putting all kinds of patterns on the backsides of quilts.
At first, she was mortified and horrified.
Ten years later, she's putting a green pattern on the backside!

This was her last quilt that was completed about a week before her stroke. I finished the edge and gifted it to a cousin on her wedding day.

Grams' gift to anyone marrying was a handmade quilt.
