Quickie youtube video...what's the yellow thing? Is it a common handquilting tool? I think it would be UBER helpful for me!

I haven't seen something like this before, but I like it.
He uses it to pull the needle out, must be so much easier on your fingertips.

Should I see it in a store, I'm going to get one.

never seen it before, it is used like a pliers to grip the needle and pull it through. I usually use my scissors to do that on the rare occasion when it gets stuck.
I had to watch it twice to see what she was doing.

When hand quilting, I have never had a problem pulling a needle through where I required any kind of tool other then a little rubber gripper and for that I simply cut a piece of rubber from rubber cleaning gloves.

I have, on the rare occasion, had to use plyers on a tied T-Shirt quilt where I was using embroidery floss and a large embroidery needle.

I use a pair of small, spring handled, needle nose, pliars.
$3.00 at a flea market.
