These are Christmas gifts. They have magnetic closers and two pockets inside. I made bottoms for the bags with covered plastic mats. Thanks for looking!

Hmmm, i have some selvages saved. not sure how long they are but this a great thought! love the bags!!!

These sure are cute!
I just made a few selvage projects, too...10 chickens--used those short pieces up quickly. I also made a couple of "garbage" cans with them. I pressed some HeatNBond Lite to the foundation fabric before sewing the selvages. It gave extra body to the fabric. Have you tried that? |
I made a couple more that I used fusible fleese and that worked better then batting. The batting distored the square i started with so I will not use that again. I did not fuse the fleese to the fabric but I maybe should have use that side to sew the fabric on. The second ones I had to square up the sides before I went any further. What foundation did you use?

These are so cute!

Oh, those turned out really cute!

Cute bags, when you use the fusible fleece and iron it on it gives the bag more stability. I only use fleece in my totes, and woven fusible in regular bags. That's just me though!

That looks like such a fun project!
