My husband made me fall off the wagon he took me on my birthday and bought me 9 yards of fabric to make a bargello it turned out great. But i also sold some of my stash to a lady that just lives down the street. She needed fabric and i needed some cash till payday so i think it evened out for the month

Been behaving myself. I think I even decided that I am not getting the new machine. After a thorough review and some serious self-talk I realized that the added features were really not worth the difference in price. I've been working with Quilla and she and I get along famously. Her little quirks are easy to deal with.

So, MadQuilter, you are one strong woman to resist the temptation of a new machine. Good for you! Sometimes bells and whistles are just that. You are awesome!

Well shoulders thrown back, head held high, no purchases of fabric in July. Actually used approx. 20 yards from my stash. When should we start worrying about the health of the textile industry? Stay strong everyone the fall fabric sales are on the horizon.

Another month down and no fabric purchases. I did buy thread last month. I have a real challenge coming up though. My wall hanging (Cherry Blossoms) won first in the county fair special wall hanging contest so now I have a gift cert for a quilt store. I'll look at books, patterns and tools though!!

Congratulations, Scissor Queen.
I am struggling with assorted round robins and last night (2 glasses of Brandy later) I plowed through my stash and found fabric for one of them. YEAH! No fabric shopping required. I am pretty sure I have fabric for the others too, I just need to get more Brandy,

Scissor Queen: I think however you choose to spend your award you should be quilt free. Congratulations on the recognition you earned. Martina: First time I've heard of brandy being a method to get the creative juices flowing. Next time someone asks what your favorite quilting tool is I bet you have one no one else does.

I made the mistake of taking my recently finished quilt to the quilt shop to show my favorite owner. Needles to say , I bought 3.5 yards of fabric I just had to have!! lol
