As I am cleaning off my sewing table I keep finding more treasures. Yesterday it was large triangles from a previous project. So I made HSTs with the remainder of the snails fabric and with a little finesse, I have 49 (7x7 layout) 6" blocks for another top. Hope to find some time to put it together today. I also found a pretty yellow in my stash for the sashing of the crumb blocks. That stack has grown to 42 (6x7 layout). Feels good to play with the stash. It's kind of like meeting old friends again.

Sounds like fun Martina...I'm taking a break from cleaning--yuk but my DS and BIL are coming on Tuesday for a 2 night stay. Not that they would mind my mess because they won't, but I need to function in my kitchen and living areas when I have company. Got 7 qts of tomato soup out of the canner this morning too.
So wish I was "meeting old friends" instead.

I just moved and now have a larger then life sewing room..it used to be a formal living room/ding room combination and is now my very own quilting studio. I have 80% of my fabric out of plastic bins and ruler folded on to shelves. I was so surprised at some of the beautiful "old friends" that I had totally forgotten about! I am so inspired all over again..can't wait to get back to quilting, instead of unpacking and cleaning!

Gonna pick up my new baby tomorrow. Wonder if any fabric will come home with me as well. Want the baby to ride home in comfort. <gggg>

DH is making fun of me for being so giddy. I told him that the more he makes fun of me today the more it will cost him tomorrow. He's still making fun of me.......ohhhh wellllll.

Martina and Missgigglewings...so happy for both of you and Emma is right...we want pictures. I think both of these reasons (new machine and new sewing digs)...deserve an exemption from a fabric moratorium!

I think that you would want to use fabric as additional packing material. In addition to her comfort, you want her to be protected from any sudden stops!
