2016 UFO Challenge of the Month

Altairss, you get a big Toot, Toot for a football related UFO finish! Clearly your stockings are hot tickets! Congrats on your finish.
After moving the half finished Christmas stocking out of my way for the third time this week it hit me this would be an easy UFO to finish. I had made a couple of these for family last year and every time I finished one got asked for another so started another as an extra but did not have anything suitable for a lining. But since I did now I went ahead and finished this little UFO up and its already claimed lol. All made from left over scraps.

UFO. Definitely a UFO. They've been sitting around so they're being finished, that's what counts.
I am not sure if I can call this a UFO or not? Two years go I started a sashed and corner stoned quilt simple blocks. I had a color way picked but after making three blocks it was not working for me so I switched my neutral out. The original three blocks I thought would make an Ok table runner and set it aside with the thought to make them into one. I pulled the out two days ago after my sister nicely asked for more table runners lol and put them together added the borders and now its basted to quilt this weekend.
So UFO or not? Not what the blocks were intended for but just I thought of what I might do with them someday to get them out of my orphan block stack. I also took five other orphan patriotic blocks and putting them together as well as a runner. I like to quilt several projects at one time if I can and will be doing these with the two UFO quilts.

Congratulations of a beautiful UFO finish! Really a lovely piece. Good luck at the quilt show. Toot, Toot!
Ha ha Madquilter, agreed!
Here is a finish. I bought this kit a few years back, worked on the embroidery and got stuck on how to finish it. Just could not get the top assembled. With Annaquilts help, it is done. Yippeee! She helped me assemble the top. Totally completed even the binding. Ready for quilt show.
Then I have the Crazy Star loaded on the longarm. This one is seven years old. Here is to finishing it by Saturday.

Nice finish, Rob. Toot, Toot! Congratulations on getting a difficult one done. I'm sure your granddaughter will be thrilled.
I finally finished the exercise in ennui--I mean, the UFO quilt that is going to be a Christmas present for Granddaughter no. 1. I have had quilts that I had a hard time finishing because I couldn't decide what to do next with them, and I've had some that took a long time to finish because I was having so much fun with them that I just didn't want to be done, but this is the first that I've ever had a hard time finishing because it was tedious.... It's lap sized, around 54 x 72".
anyway, here's a photo.
