UFO Challenge of the Month 2012
#641
I finished this table runner. I started it about 4 years ago after taking a class from Char Jorgensen on this Cleopatra pattern. Had the top done. Got it quilted last week and got it bond while being layed up from knee surgery.
I had been working on several projects to have then ready for the hand work to do while I was laid up. But it seems I have spent a lot of time on the quilting board. So when I done with this back to the sewing projects.

Hope you recover quickly from the knee surgery.
I too spend too much time on QB. I didn't get on here yesterday and look at all the new finishes!

Having the surgery has been a positive thing for you....at least in the quilting area...look at all the UFOs you are completing.
Did you have knee replacement? My DH had hip replacement last summer....helped him a lot.

Evie sent me this partially finished kit that was all sunflower fabric, so it is done and ready to get mailed to the Hopes and Dreams project for ALS. She had even done one of the satin stitch appliqué blocks, so only one left for me. It looks black, but only the background on the appliqué blocks is black. The balance is very deep green.
And there were scraps leftover I can use for another quilt.

I'm glad it's no longer an orphan but is benefiting a good cause.

P.S.Like your signature quote....made me smile

My favorite one is the last pic...green one.....nice one to use on Paddy's Day.
I have printed off many pages of runner/wall hanging pics for inspiration. They are inspirations for quick projects I have planned for this coming summer.
First, I have to finish quilting the tops I did last year. I still have 5 to do.

Just realized, I'd forgotten to post 2 other UFO's that tops were done last year & finally quilted & bound this week, too! The Dora quilt is SITD & around the center of the stars & I used varigated thread for the hearts. The bear panel quilt is enlarged with scraps & I outline stitched everything.
Here's a link to my panel quilt.

No, I had a torn Menicus. It is killing me just to sit around most of the time. I do plan to walk out to the shop today just for some exercise. Hoping later on this week I will be back to normal.

WOW! You ladies are doing fantastic. Love seeing the finished quilts. That One Fabric Wonder quilt really inspires me to get mine done. I love that pattern. Your fabric really made this quilt work. Did you do kaleidescope or just cut and place?
