I brown ground beef with green pepper and onions, drain and add cream of mushroom soup and simmer on low for about 10-15 minutes then add either 1 can drained green beans or 2 cups frozen. I serve it over noodles. You can also add mushrooms if desired.

You can do something similar with Tuna, cream of celery is nice with the tuna. I only use water pack, white albacore tuna.

I cook the whole thing up, stuff the "cooked" green peppers , pop them in a pan and cover them with aluminum foil. A little bit before serving, put the cheese on top and melt it on top of the peppers. I'm salivating again. Edie

Here is a simple one from my grandma when I was first married 45 years ago
Hamburger - browned
One can green beans drained
Dump both in casserole dish, mix up a bit
Dump on one can cream of chicken soup
Then put tater tots on top to make it look nice
Bake an hour at 350
These days I might test browning the hamburger and maybe add some onion
Then in the same iron skillet add the beans and soup. I think I would cook it until it is bubbly then add the tater tots and put it low under the broiler in the oven... I think as soon as the tater tots are done it could be eaten.

Waaaay before hamburger helper and packaged meals, when we cooked everything from scratch, and money was tight, I cooked some of the wildest concoctions.....some good, some not so, but family was fed and content.....when kids would ask what's for supper, I would say dog food and bird seed......we had both....that let them know mom was being the mad scientist again. Some of these concoctions I have carried thru to today......I, just me now, call them "garbage", but it's one way to clean out that one carrot, 1/2 onion, limp celery, left over pasta.......or whatever with a can of Campbell's some kind of cream soup..........
