Check the label and see if each has the same ingredients. I always assumed they were different and taste differently as well.

wonder if you checked the nutrition label and compared things if that would give you a hint, serving size and sugar grams etc.

There seems to be a slight difference. I have a new can and an almost empty squeeze bottle. Same calories. No fat in either. Can-15mg sodium. Bottle-25mg. Ingredients are listed in a different order. Toll free call 1-800-468-1714.

years ago I only ever bought the can didn't like the squeeze bottle haven't bought any in a long time so I'm sure they change the product in some way and probably not as good as it use to be

When I went to Canada this summer I was able to find the syrup in a can. It was thicker and richer than the syrup I can get here in the squeeze bottle. My husband puts it on his vanilla ice cream and really noticed the difference. It poured really slower and thicker.

Google Hershey, get the phone number or the Website and ask. They will tell you and probably send coupons, too. froggyintexas

The can holds 1 1/2 cups of syrup. That's 12 ounces, not 16. Try measuring just syrup weight, not the entire can.
I store the Hershey's bottled syrup in the fridge; it always comes out thick. I have not had a problem making the brownies with the bottled syrup. I only bake with Land O Lakes salted butter, and in our minds the butter adds to the richness of the brownie.

I haven't seen a can of Hershey's in years. Do they still put it in cans?
