Before we hit the road, I fix anything and everything in my own kitchen. Meatballs, ham balls, mini meat loaves , shredded chicken, shredded pork, chili, BBQ meat, taco seasoned meat. I like to bring it cooked and frozen. It helps immensely to merely thaw the main part of your meals. Saves a little work, time and clean up is easier at home for me.

Make & freeze meatballs....with or without sauce. Subs, pasta, veggies etc all go good with. I always took hard boiled eggs.Eat as wanted, chopped in salad or egg salad.Frozen baggies of veggies you use are easy to tote & use.Thin buns ....easy to pack & lasts longer than regular buns/bread.Sloppy joes, also froze at home. Cooked ground meat of your choice is great.Add to gravy, serve over baked potatoes or rice, loose meat sandwiches on thin buns.Make a huge bag....or 2 of cut up,ready to go veggies. Pasta salad, any salad ....or just cook in main dish or use as "make your own salads". Bean soup freezes well, beanie weenie,or brats n beans. You can never have too many potatoes cooked & chunked.
This post brought back memories. These days, old bones prefer the easy life...lol.Have a great trip.
