What do you mean by a "cube" of butter? A stick seems like too much, but then again, they'd REALLY be good.

Thanks so much, I use to make these all the time while the kids were growing up then stopped and forgot the receipe. Simple as it is I just couldn't remember. I'm going straight home after work to make them!

What type of yeast do you use? The rapid rise or the active dry?

Just regular active yeast.

The recipe calls for 1 stick of butter. I sometimes only use 3/4 of a stick. The butter makes them crispy on the bottom so they are really good.
