I like this pattern also. Was messing around with it and you can make any size block, cut it into 2 triangles then figure out the rest. Also, if points are important, I made a paper piecing pattern...

I don't have to worry about it as I use fabric - anything white and cheap - instead of paper. Just leave it on- gives the quilt a little extra thickness - maybe can use a thinner quilting.

Called bed shawls or foot warmers. I like them cause they "pretty up" the bed. You see them a lot in hotels now. Made some and WANT to make some "seasonal" ones (Christmas, spring, summer, etc)...
