I had the surgery on both hands two weeks apart. It helped immediately. I have the braces that I wear to bed sometome if I overdo it as with time it can return but I have held off more surgery with the braces. Now I have the pin and needles and numbness from chemo that will never be OK so I have been learning to live with it and still quilt, etc.

I put up with the pain for 5 years and then went to get a nerve exam on my hand, I was at the point where my hand was going to be damaged forever. The Dr. set me up with a surgeon, my hand was good after that! The scar is only 1/4" long on my palm. Go for it, anything is better than the numbness and pain.

Ok, I don't have details, but I had a friend tell me that at one of the large factories here, that when they had employees who had carpel tunnel, they would have them take large doses of Vitamin B and that helped tremendously. maybe google it and see if you can find that recommendation anywhere???
Good Luck!!!

Went several years then got the braces wore them at night. Intstantly worked . Then they started in again and started losing my strength. AFraid I was going to drop boiling liquids,s
Had both of them done last year. Pc of cake. The surgeon knew mw as I use to work in the OR> So he did very small scars right in the wrinkle and pain and numbness were gone instantly and not post op pain either. The longer you let them go the more they will scar down. The results are not as good if you let them get to bad.
