What a nice assortment you found! Lucky you. I'd never thought about steaming before sewing. I get so many ideas here that I hardly have time to sew LOL!

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I'll give it a try.

Maksi, you are just toooo cute!

After I decide what I need to keep for my future projects, I will be sharing. When, what and how, I can't say. Right now it's a little too hot to iron so it might be a little while.

I've posted pictures of a portion of my new stash.

    WooHooooooooooooo!
I don't know what you paid but I think you got a deal. It is unusual to find so much quilting fabric at a yard sale.

    Hi,
You could sew them together first. otherwise they may fray pretty bad. chances are they are already washed for shrinkage, however if you put it together, then wash and they shrink a little, it give the quilt an "older" look to it. Perhaps choose a pattern with that in mind?

BTW, I actually felt guilty picking up all this fabric. I kept thinking about all the lovely quilts you ladies could make with this stash. Instead, it went to a newbie with only 2 completed tops under her belt. WooHooooooooooooooo![/quote]

Muwahahahahaha..... you are now one of us......

Thanks! Finally got everything washed. Between painting the next couple of days and a garage sale this weekend, no time to sew until next week. Can't wait to get started.
