The 'treadleon' site talks about the different machines and says the second most common type of treadle was the White Rotary. The person that wrote the 'treadleon' article says the White Rotary is one of his "three favoritest machines!" He says the White Family Rotary's are "one of the strongest of the old treadles."
It is too bad I still can't get my White Rotary Black Crinkle Embossed thing to pick up the bobbin threat! GRRRRRRRRRR!

After several weeks of being absent from the board I am back after many hours of work on the Pathfinder by Davis treadle cabinet. It took a gallon of stripper. The thing was revarnished with a mahogony shellac stain that was almost black. Must have been done 50 years ago with the crazing and the dirt. For some reason they did not refinish the inside of table and machine bed. It was a very nice fummed oak. I mixed aniline dye water base stains to match the old finish and top coated with button shellac. The match was very good. Let me know what you think. Glenn
