Has anyone used these? They sound like a good idea - sharpen your rotary blade as you cut - but I'd like to know if anyone's had luck with them before I invest in any more rulers.

My personal opinion is run away from them. I ruined 2 blades they do not work like they say. I purchased a small one and will never use it again!

LQS will not be carrying them after receiving demo items and they were horrible. She said that as it sharpened the blade, the shavings became embedded into the fabric.

Someone needs to come up with a sharpener that really works.

I bought it because it is 37" long and not for the sharpening. Guess I will have to use the undiamond side.

I use the True Cute Blade Sharpener from Grace, but I bought mine at Quilt in a Day.com

If you use it correctly it works well. Even tho it's expensive the money I save from not buying new blades more than pays for the $40 I spent on the sharpener. I think I'll be sure to wipe off the blade before cutting fabric to take care of the shavings. I didn't even think about that.

I figure it's the same when my DH sharpens our kitchen knives. Don't really want shavings in the food!
