Any info on the old Janome machines? The person who has it doesn't sew and only knows it's a vintage zigzag model 393.

From what I just read on the Kenmore site, my early 1960s model isn't worth digging out, so I'm still looking for a machine I can drop the feed dogs on.

Bojangles, I have a Damasus made by Montgomery Ward that looks a lot like your Davis VF. Mine was made about 1926, do you suppose it would FMQ? It needs a lot of cleaning, but don't have time right now. Thanks, Bobbie

Boopers, this site posted by Dunster mention the post 1958 machine further down - just before the pictures. As mine was purchased in the early 60s as a new machine, I doubt that it is pre 1958.

Thanks for the link. It was intresting to see how much the 72w19 went for. I have one and have wondered how much it was worth. I'm sure mine is not worth quite that much, but it fun to see another one.

It is fun just seeing what they go for, not that that is what one owns machine would go for too....but it is fun to watch!
