Well, I don't know if it is a "fiddle base machine" or not...and I've never put a picture on here. Would have to learn how to do that!

Welcome to the forum!! What a surprise to find a machine in the "empty"parlor cabinet. I looked up the serial number for you and it looks like your Singer is a model 15 with a manufacture date of October 1, 1907. You can look it up on this site: http://www.singerco.com/support/serial_numbers.html

I can help you learn to get your pictures on here. It's easy if the pictures are already on your computer.

It's not on my computer yet and I will have to take a picture after supper. Hubby had surgery and I need to get his supper ready now. I do see the "file attachment" under this box, so maybe I can do it after while.

Nancy, that was one of my lucky finds. It's a 1874 Singer Mother of Pearl. It came from North Carolina from a wonderful lady that was moving to Florida. I was thrilled that she was willing to take the time out of her busy schedule to ship it to me.

Thank you Miz Johnny for the treadle suggestion for my 206K : ) I have been searching for a new case and never thought about putting it into a treadle base!!

Thanks for the welcome and the information. I will be giving the Free#5 to my sil. It was her mother's (my mil) and I think it should belong to her as she learned to sew on it.
The other one, I picked up at a yard sale for $40 or $45 about 4 years ago. I just forgot it had a machine in it. I thought I had bought it for the cabinet! I thought I'd try to have it outfitted for my 3500 Janome. I think I will try to get it cleaned etc and see if it works. I would love to use it! I am new at this VSM stuff.
I am pretty sure I have gotten the bug for VSM's! I dream of them. I'll keep my eyes open for them to come up at Estate auctions and yard sales. We live in a very rural area and don't get to a city but once or twice every 4-6 months!

That is one beautiful machine. If it ever needs a good home I know where it can go. lol Not only is that a pretty machine but the cat is beautiful also. Kathie( who also uses the name Cat on the internet).
