Tree City. Gateway to Yosemite Valley.

Diaries and rice, sweet potatoes and yams, orchards of many fruits and even huge plantings of Pistachios. And now we have our new University of California/Merced.

Martinez California is the birthplace of Joe DiMaggio and the Martini! We have also produced 2 Pulitzer prize winning authors.

Pancake Day, Dorothy's house and the Wizard of Oz museum. The "yellow brick road" starts here.

Bainbridge, Ga -- GNATS! Driving us nuts all summer. You should see us in the yard or pool with the hats with nets over our heads. LOL! Also in the neighborhood -- Festivals: Swine Time, Mule Days, and the Rattlesnake Roundup. Very rural and grow lots of cotton, corn, and peanuts.

Much more recognizable -- we are about 40 miles NW of Tallahassee, home of Florida State (Go Seminoles!)

The CN Tower and the Toronto Blue Jays, guess I should include the Toronto Maple Leafs too. We also have a national park, Rouge Park, which edges on the Greater Toronto Area. In the park is a campground within the city limits, and I can get to it in 2 minutes from my home, lucky me. All this, a safe city, and 5 million people too!

Well, I live very far from any city - I live in the sticks in Northern California - we are known for our redwood trees, fishing, hiking, forest service land, river rafting and gold mining. I love the great outdoors and feel lucky to live in such beautiful surroundings.

This is a good one, but the first thing that popped in my mind was the shooting that took place earlier this year :(

We also have some great sights - Desert Museum, Old Tucson (Gunsmoke and other old westerns filmed there), John Dillenger was captured here, and we have the U. of A. Wildcats - who's basketball team has won the NCAA a couple of times. Then there's Colossal Cave, Saguaro Park East and West, much more :)
