Head on over to the Vintage Sewing Machine shop here on the Board. Lots of information on care for her there.

No, It was unbelievable. 2 laying hens, 6 DZ eggs and $10. The gal was only asking $75 for it and that is about the equivalent of what I paid. I sell laying hens and eggs. It is so clean, unbelievable. It was never stored anywhere but inside of a home.

Alrighty then!! Lucky you. I grew up with a NewHome in the house, although my mother didn't sew with it often. I loved the "beautiful decals" and the ornate cabinet. I am remembering the long skinny bobbins it used, too. I used it to reupholster my car seats on my first car that I got when I graduated from college. I had my Dad's help getting thru that project-- it was a "mother bear" and I definitely needed encouragement, or it would have been a UFO: forever.

Hope you have a wonderful time with your new baby :)
