What a terrific thread this is. I am finding a lot of answers to questions I didn't even know I had.
I have an old treadle and some other oldies one of my sons has found.
THANKS

We finally got electric back this morning since Sunday 0300. First thing I did was put a pot of coffee on and shower. To have running water is a blessing we take for granted till it's gone. DD and family still out in eastern Pa. Borrowed a generator from a friend to empty the 4' of water from the basement and keep sump pump going. Heating unit motor, washer, dryer, desk, table, and sundries all wrecked. We're thanking God for His protection since many others had it far worse. Irene will long be remembered here.

Hey you guys I am going to sell my 1898 Singer 28 Handcrank/treadle pictured here on page 352 and my 1913 Free #5 pictured on page 550 & 627. I will post them on Craigslist too. I just have to cut back! I have my favorites, the Wheeler and Wilson's, Singer 9W, 66's, Two Spools, Davis Vertical Feed, Singer 127 Sphinx, Redeye, Hitachi, Singer VS 2, Singer 15-88 - all treadles! I need to unclutter! Too many treadles!

Nancy

Hey Billy, should I have just put this in the classified section? I kinda did this on a whim!

I would love to have the HC but I don't think it would survive the shipping to Ohio. Oh, well.

Well, I now have a goal... In talking with my mom last week, I learned that my grandmother had a National two spools machine. It may still be in the family, but I'm not banking on it. (My uncle had access to the family home more than any of the other family members and took a lot of the memorabilia.) So I want to find a National two spools. If you come across info on one available, I would love to know.

Antique Singer Sewing Machine - $1 (Hilton)
This is an Antique Singer Leather Sewing Machine. It moves freely, has the number 29-4 on the front plate. I have no idea how much this is worth. Need to clean out the garage. Make me an offer!

Plus an old favorite posting is back - guess they are trying again! Should have saved the one I got for $1.50 at the tag sale!

Grandma's ironing board in pristine condtion? She probably hated it which is why it was stuffed in the closet!
