Funny thing is, "beauty really is in the eye of the beholder"! Do them in the colors she picked, and let it be.

do sample block with her colors then test block with a added color and ask her which one she likes then do it her way

She picked the colors out and probably would feel bad if you changed anything.

I would go with what she picked. Did she pick a lining? If not, use a soft color there with a just a little purple and pink in it.

I think those colors could be gorgeous together especially if one is a batik. Anyway if she likes it that's all that matters.

Think the colors would be ok, just change the value on some of them

I think I would make a sample block with her colors and also a sample block with her colors and the added colors that you picked, just to help her decide. I'm sure she will be happy with whatever she picks out. Don't forget to post a picture of her quilt when you are finnished. Happy quilting.

go with her wishes and you'll have a quilt that she designed and loves that you made, otherwise you'll just have a quilt that you designed and made and she won't feel an attachment to. This happened to me, and I still remember. It was never my quilt.

I think I'd do it her way. She'll be pleased with it since she picked out the colors.
