Charlee thanks for sharing your quilts with us in the section of quilts made with vintage machines. Your work is well done! I have to laugh at your reference to "pyscho DIL"...guess none of your DILs read the QB. Anyhow, all your quilts look comfy and should be well loved. Thanks again for sharing.

Here's a Singer treadle kit. Any takers?

Sorry about your front door being ruined, but glad they didn't get in, Miriam. Do you live in a rough area of Indy?

It was the back door ruined. The front door has it's share of attempt scars but still holds shut. Indianapolis east side - always police cars and shootings just a couple blocks away - my Dad assured us when we moved here from our 5 acres of utopia that it was safe.... I'm now considering conceal carry - never thought I'd see that day...

I saw that fancy smancy treadle kit, too.

~grin~ One of the DILs knows I think she's got mental problems and the other one would think I was joking!
    Thanks!

Looks like the Pitman stick is busted in this unusually nice collection of parts. A Dog would be my choice of weapon except mine would probably welcome the intruders and want to play.

I believe you're right Jon...which would also mean that the treadle base doesn't go with that Redeye...right? Didn't they stop using wooden pitman arms in about 1890-1900? The Redeye was introduced after that...

Hmmm, Good question. Not certain when Singer stopped using the wood pitman. I like how the ad says, "No scratches or dents" but doesn't mention an important part of the treadle base is broken and needs to be replaced.

Thank you Charlee, you can use it if you ever come to my neck of the woods for a night on the Murphy bed!

Janice the crowding issue is a big problem. The bigger the harp space of your long arm, the further it will sit out from the wall! You end up with a sewing machine that literally takes up 1/2 of your sewing room and one whole wall! I have to remind myself all the time that I really need to keep my long arm because I generally do at least queen sized quilts! I would love to get rid of it just to get my whole room back, but that would not be smart unless I just quit doing the really large quilts!
