Hi Billy, I just acquired a Singer Red Eye (66 I guess) It's a treadle, Anyway I've been trying to clean it up my self and I have an extra spring that I don't know where it came from. I know that I can't left the presser foot now. I was cleaning the inside with a pipe cleaner and it did pretty good, got it almost done when I found the spring in the botton area where the presser shank is. Can you help me or do I have to take it in

If you can find a good service manual it should show how that spring goes in that shaft. It is a bit tricky but if you got it this far you should be able to finish it. You may have to google search pressure spring repair for sewing machines as well.
