    Unless the quilt top is already the perfect size for you, then I would add borders. It is a gorgeous top already.

    Your New York Beauty is a beuaty! I really like that border that has the wavy line of pointy triangles around the edge for that pattern (like teeth). It looks like a lot of work but it would look amazing. Someone posted a quilt with that border on QB.

    It's a lovely quilt, and it definitely needs borders. Not just one, several. A quilt like that needs a fairly complex border. Start messing around with strips of various widths, and consider what sort of piecing would look good there. You can always put "New York Beauty quilt" into Google Image and look at what other people have done to get ideas.

    Another one that likes at least an inner border w/ the same fabric as the sashing. Then see where to go from there.

    It's beautiful! To finish it off I would add more than one border - first a plain dark one the same as the sashing, then a sawtooth border, then another plain one.
