Bearly A Month
#92
My neighbor Judy said something similar...she said the Indians always purposely put in some imperfections because only God (Great Spirit) is perfect. I told her that made me feel a lot better...

I was trying to get a balance of the objects around the bears, and July was challenging. I found the little flag at JoAnn's which was a fusible embroidery piece, but I was suspicious about whether or not it would stick. (It didn't, after the first wash, so I have to handstitch it back on), but the fireworks I did with metallic thread...I would have liked to done them in more colors, but didn't have any on hand. I actually considered doing the other blocks with simple stitching like that (snowflakes for January, posies for May, abc and 1+1 for September), but it was starting to get involved, and I'm not that good yet. But, there's an idea for my next one, or for someone who wants to try the pattern.
Anyway, thanks!

LOL! Oh man, my stitches in the ditch, rough corners, the little squares anchoring the sashing not lining up... but it should be service-able. I forgive myself for some of the goofs, chalking it up to learning experiences. My construction is a little strange, as I've since seen some tutorials here that make more sense, but I know now to allow more fabric for squaring blocks, and to have a better plan up front.
Thanks for your kind words! I'm encouraged...

LOL! That's exactly what I said, when I started this! So good to know there are kindred hearts, here! Inch by inch, anything's a cinch. I committed to doing a little every day, and trying to do things well, rather than fast.
