I found preprinted fabric that looks like piecework at our local Walmart. It is only 44 inches or so wide but you could put several sections of it together with sashing and then borders and machine quilt it over all. I do the same thing but handquilt around each "block" imitating the seam lines of the piecing. That would take a lot longer. The average person who is not a quilter would not know the difference. It would also be the least expensive way to go as far as the materials are concerned.

I am making the Big Star quilt from Missouri quilt co in black, white & red. It went together very quickly - each star measures 26". I made one with 4 stars & it is 56" square. You could make it as large as you want.

I think that the disappearing 9 Patch is the quickest way to go to make one that looks like you have really made an intricate pattern.

Missouri Star Quilts has just come out with a tute on YouTube of a Chevron quilt- fast and pretty- Jenny used layer cakes 10" squares and it seemed to go fast on her tute. Most of her tutes are quick and simple I think. She was using two different colored fabs. One was white. This would be quick and simple I think as well as look very pretty. You might want to check it out on Miss Star Quilt site and go to tutes, I just saw this tute this week. Wishing a speddy recovery to the individual who was burned.

What is a good simple pattern for a quilt that still looks beautiful?? Any suggestions would be AMAZING, since I am going to buy fabric tomorrow.
Buy a jelly roll and make the 1600 quilt. Video on Missouri Quilt Company.
This quilt top can be made in 1 hour.

I did a 10 minute block twin size in 1 day by using 12 inch blocks and 3 inch boarder. 4 blocks wide 6 rows with 2 rows of boarder top, bottom, and each side. I use Accuquilt Go to cut the strips. It took me 1 day.

I received this site in my inbox for a YouTube tutorial and it looks like it would fit your needs. Good Luck!

My favorite QUICK pattern is JUST CAN'T CUT IT, quick and easy to cut and goes together like a dream, I made a queen size in a weekend....that didn't include quilting as I send my quilts to a long armer.
