What is an OBW? I have cut as far as I can on the 2 little Bow Tucks for the Granddaughters. DD is getting the 2/3 yard I need to complete all the parts. Even got the batting cut and ready. When she gets home with fabric I can begin sewing them. Till then I will hand quilt on the Lone star. Still can't get pics to upload!!

Sounds like everyone is getting a lot done. I finished 6 pillow shams today and did some strip piecing. Now I'm parked in front of the tv watching the Yankees! Will be back tomorrow afternoon

I'm going to get a sign like that. For some reason, because I quilt and do minor garmenting for my husband and I, everyone gives me their alterations.

OBW is a one block wonder. I also call them kaleidoscope quilts, although that term is used for a few different types of quilts. However, you layer fabric so that the pattern lines up in the stack and cut 6 or 8 identical peices and sew hexagons or octagons from them. Here's a pictures of mine, still a flimsy

    Here's my rather ambitious list:

    1. Hem Anita's skirt

    2. Hem Uncle Dave's work pants

    3. Finish piecing Nana's Quilt Top. Sandwich, quilt, and bind.

    4. Cut out and sew two pairs of pants for Jack.

    5. Finish Jack's Ranger Coat.

    6. Cut out and sew three shirts for Jack.

    7. Finish my purple surcoat.

Its enough to keep me busy for several weeks, guess we'll have to see how far I get.
I'm with you . But my list is longer than that with UFO's. We won't go there it's an ugly place. So I'll work on my Quilt as you go project. It's 2 sided. Should be fun. Will be stitching with you all.

Well I finished the hat for ds's gf. I have been working on my hand quilting. I changed the quilting from when I started the quilt since it needed more. Now I am going through the squares to make sure they are all complete. I will do some more tomorrow morning and will spend the afternoon with my niece celebrating her graduation from college. I think on Monday morning I have to go and work on my fil's deck with my dh. Keep up the good work everyone.
