Default Picked this treadle machine up Saturday!

I won this Willard Treadle machine on ebay for $35... local pickup, well an hour drive.... I got it home, oiled it, wiped her down, treaded the shuttle bobbin and treaded it and after a little while of adjusting the tension.... she sews like a dream.............. Great find... well at least I think so. John thinks I have a sickness ...

Yeah i really like it.. the shellac is dry, might end up redoing the cabinet... just taking off the shellac, not the stain...

Wow! What a great purchase! I'm starting to think I may have an illness, too. How do you diagnose it, though? I really didn't start out collecting vintage machines, but I seem to have 3. I have been telling myself I don't need a treadle machine. I could be wrong. If I came across a buy like that, I wouldn't be able to resist.

well, I stop counting at about 27! i am not sure how many now... I bought more, gave away more, lost a couple of them from being at friends home that doesnt bother with me anymore and I am sure I will never recover them.... I do have some that I am going to try to sell whenever I get chance to go through all of them... Just do not know which ones to part with... Oh you need more dear!

Well if it is a sickness that's one disease I wouldn't mind having! That was a great score!
