I have a singer fashion mate 239 that I bought when I was married. I made all of my childrens clothes on it as well as curtains and other home decorative items. It only has a straight stitch, is all metal inside and tan plastic outside. I have never seen one on ebay or on this board and am wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I have kept it oiled and greased and it still sews. I'd include a picture if I knew how. sheri

Don't see much information about it, other than a reference at Sew Classic to it being the straight stitch only version of the Fashion Mate 237, which is a pretty good machine.

I think I had one of those - all metal good machine. Kinda wish I'da kept it - it was a tank.
